Point Arena

    Point Arena was a bustling lumber and whaling port. Punta Arena, which means "sand port" in Spanish was one of the most active ports on the Mendocino Coast. 1879 records show that 2,300 tons of merchandise were shipped from the wharf. The town looks much the way it did in the early 1900's. Scenic farmland surrounds the city today, a large dairy is just to the North and cows and sheep are seen grazing as one travels along Highway One.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 7/3/2011

Things have continued to be a little slow up here on the coast and 50% of our sales have been REO's or foreclosures.  Listings are down this month and are equal to the number of new escrows so inventory is not growing and the number of new REO's coming on has slowed quite a bit.  Both of these signs are good.  Summer is here and this is out busy time.  The weather is fabulous and we are looking to a GREAT July!!

Home Sales: Iversen (1) $339,000, The Sea Ranch (6) $251,000 - $527,250, Timber Cove (1) $130,000
