The Sea Ranch

Gualala

The "village" of Gualala was once a thriving mill town and is now a vibrant commerical center with accommodations, resturants, galleries and quaint shops. Gualala os located on the Southern Mendocino Coast, an expanse of rugged coastline, where majestic redwoods, sunny open hillsides and dramatic ocean vistas enliven the senses.

Irish Beach

Irish Beach is a charming coastal community which is just a few miles North of Mancehster. The community has about 250 home sites. Over the past 30 years about 60% of the sites have had custom homes built but there are still some lots available. The community has private beach access to a 6 mile long sandy beach.

Point Arena

Point Arena was a bustling lumber and whaling port. Punta Arena, which means "sand port" in Spanish was one of the most active ports on the Mendocino Coast. 1879 records show that 2,300 tons of merchandise were shipped from the wharf. The town looks much the way it did in the early 1900's. Scenic farmland surrounds the city today, a large dairy is just to the North and cows and sheep are seen grazing as one travels along Highway One.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 9/1/2011

Labor Day brings the end of our summer season up here but hopefully we will have a beautiful Fall and lots of buyers yet to come!! August was actually very slow for this time of year with only 7 new escrows. Listings remained high at 24 and there were 12 closed sales.

Home Sales: Anchor Bay (1) $218,000, Annapolis (1) $537,500, Gualala (2) $239,000 - $347,000, Point Arena (1) $195,000, The Sea Ranch (7) $379,000 - $795,000.

Home Pendings: Anchor Bay (1) $900,000, Gualala (2) $175,000 - $399,000. The Sea Ranch (3) $489,000 - $559,000, Timber Cove (1) $399,000.

New Listings: Anchor Bay (3) $279,000 - $900,000 (in escrow), Annapolis (2) $359,000 - $599,000, Elk (1) 399,000, Irish Beach (2) $329,000 - $595,000, Manchester (1) $490,000, The Sea Ranch (9) $475,000 - $1,295,000.
