Monthly Market Update 5/1/2016

This has been a great year so far but we are low on inventory at the moment in The Sea Ranch.  Sales are starting to move now in the Gualala, Point Arena and Irish beach areas.  Prices continue to rise, albeit slowly and lot sales are starting to pick up.  Some great values on vacant land up here.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 1/1/2016

Happy New Year!  This has been a great year for real estate on the coast.  Unlike many of the urban areas where property values have soared and inventory has disappeared, the second home market on the coast has been slow to recover.  While The Sea Ranch started their recovery 2 years ago, the rest of the area just now is seeing the ending of many foreclosures and some rising prices.  Typical for this time of year the activity was slow with only 7 new listings, 10 homes going into escrow and 13 closed sales.  Still a great time to buy on the coast!!

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 10/1/2015

September has been incredible, 20 homes went into escrow and only 22 new listings but 8 are already in escrow!!  Weather has been perfect, even a touch warm for here, but many people in town escaping the heat in other areas.  The real estate market is holding steady, the Feds decided to leave interest rates alone and new loans seem to be easier to get these days, so we anticipate this market to continue for awhile.  Lots sales are still holding and 4 went into escrow. Prices continue to climb at a slow, steady pace.

Living on the Coast is such fun and having summer come to an end is always a little sad, but we have magnificient Fall weather to look forward to and still many vistors coming here.  The real estate market continued to be very active with many homes selling as they came into the market.  In total there were15 new listings, 15 new escrows and 14 closed sales.

Monthly Market Update 08/01/2015

Summer is in full swing here on the coast, so many activities and the town is always busy!! We have continued to see an active real estate market with 17 new escrows and 25 closed sales.  There were 21 new listings (down 4 from last month) and 4 are already in escrow.  Prices continue to climp at a slow, steady pace.  With prices moving up and many homes selling as they come onto the market, we anticipate a good year.  Inventory in our area is still OK, not low as it is in some areas.

The real estate market on the coast continues to be amazing, we are not quite into the "normal" selling season for our area and we continue to see record breaking sales.  25 homes went into escrow for June and there were 22 new listings.  Lots are also starting to show some gains which is really good news.

HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS!! Things are really picking up here on the North Coast!  Last month there were16 closed sales, 13 new escrows and 27 new listings ( 7 of which are already in escrow!)  Land Sales are also picking up with 9 closed sales, 10 new escrows and 18 new listings.  Where many areas of the state have seen escalating prices, we are finally seeing price gains BUT we are still recovering from 2007 so it's an opportunity to get a bargain!

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 3/01/2015

The coast has been beautiful with only a few periods of much needed rain, the plants all think it is Spring for sure and even the whales have been making grand showings!  Real estate activity has been good since the first of the year and the number of new listings hitting the market have been low with many going into escrow shortly after listing.  In February, there were 14 new listings, 9 homes went into escrow and there were 11 closed sales.
