The Sea Ranch

Over the past 30 years about 60% of the sites have had custom homes built but there are still some lots available. The community has private beach access to a 6 mile long sandy beach.

Point Arena

    Point Arena was a bustling lumber and whaling port. Punta Arena, which means "sand port" in Spanish was one of the most active ports on the Mendocino Coast. 1879 records show that 2,300 tons of merchandise were shipped from the wharf. The town looks much the way it did in the early 1900's. Scenic farmland surrounds the city today, a large dairy is just to the North and cows and sheep are seen grazing as one travels along Highway One.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 2/1/2010

There was a upturn in buyer activity during January.  Despite many days of pouring rain, there were 11 new escrows and 9 closed sales.  For the first time in quite awhile, new escrows were greater than the number of new listings.  All very good signs that we may have seen the bottom of the market!!  Great time to buy with prices down and interest rates at historic lows.

Home Sales:  Gualala (2) $200,000 - $220,000, Irish Beach (1) $375,000, Point Arena (1) $308,000, The Sea Ranch (4) $330,000 - $905,000.

Home Pendings:  Gualala (4) $195,000 - $595,000, The Sea Ranch (5) $535,000 - $945,000,  Timber Cove (2) $379,500 - $449,000

New Listings:  Anchor Bay (1) 41,100,000, Elk (1) $450,000, Gualala (2) $495,000 - $1,150,000,  The Sea Ranch (2) $450,000 - $1,538,000
