AL, THE ALBATROSS HAS COME BACK TO POINT ARENA!

Our beloved albatross has come back for the 18th straight year.  This is a very unusual event in the bird world and one that has drawn considerable attention.

By nature and albatross is not a migatory bird and this is migratory behavior.  For the past 18 years, Al (aka Arena Ross) has arrived in late November and departed in April.  He hangs around the pier for most days and is very friendly to the surfers.  People love to come and watch this HUGE bird with a wing span of almost 11 feet.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 12/1/2010

The busy Thanksgiving weekend didn't produce a ton of new escrows but the month did end up being the best since summer with 10 new escrows!  This amount of activity is good for this time of the year and hopefully is a sign that things will continue to start picking up.  November saw only 5 new listings with 10 going into escrow!  At that rate we start to see the number of listings decrease, a very good sign.  There were 7 closed sales.
