HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yesterday I saw my first whale of the season. Always fun to see and reminds me why I love living this close to the ocean! Something tells me this is going to be a good year for real estate up here. December saw 15 homes go into escrow!! A record for anytime, but especially this time of year. My guess is that we have seen the bottom on interest rates which will just continue to go up from now on and prices just can't go much lower on some of these bank owned homes, they are selling for almost land value! SO, if you've been on the fence and waiting, it just might be the time to make a move. We are seeing more and more buyers out there these days. Remember 10 homes went into escrow in November, does anyone see a trend here???? There is a great book called "Shift" that talks about people waiting for the bottom of anything, homes prices or stock market and their theory is that by the time people realize the "bottom" has occcured it has already gone up. Don't miss this oportunity. New listings were back up to 11 and there were 8 closed sales.
