The Sea Ranch

Gualala

Gualala os located on the Southern Mendocino Coast, an expanse of rugged coastline, where majestic redwoods, sunny open hillsides and dramatic ocean vistas enliven the senses.

Irish Beach

    Irish Beach is a charming coastal community which is just a few miles North of Mancehster. The community has about 250 home sites. Over the past 30 years about 60% of the sites have had custom homes built but there are still some lots available. The community has private beach access to a 6 mile long sandy beach.

Point Arena

    Point Arena was a bustling lumber and whaling port. Punta Arena, which means "sand port" in Spanish was one of the most active ports on the Mendocino Coast. 1879 records show that 2,300 tons of merchandise were shipped from the wharf. The town looks much the way it did in the early 1900's. Scenic farmland surrounds the city today, a large dairy is just to the North and cows and sheep are seen grazing as one travels along Highway One.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 3/1/2011

We are seeing an increase in buyer traffic these days and for the 4th straight month, above average number of properties going into escrow.  These days, it seems that an REO property goes into escrow within a week or so, unless the condition so SO BAD it's too much for most buyers to tackle.  We are more and more hopeful that we have seen the "bottom".  Banks seem to be easing up a bit so all signs are good!

Home Sales: Gualala (2) $125,000 - $725,000, Point Arena (1) $160,000, The Sea ranch (5) $281,000 - $797,265, Timber Cove (1) $925,000

Home Pendings: Gualala (2) $132,000 - $245,900, Iversen (1) $339,000, The Sea Ranch (6) $399,000 - $1,295,000

New Listings: Gualala (3) $159,900 REO - $415,000, Irish Beach (2) $598,000 - $598,000, Point Arena (1) $595,000, The Sea Ranch (6) $300,000 (1/2 interest) - $5,500,000.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 2/3/2011

The market is staying active in our area.  Normally this is our "quiet" time of year since we are more seasonal with Second or Vacation Homes being a bulk of our market.  There were 16 homes that went into escrow in January!!  That makes 3 straight months of good new sales!  We are hopeful that we are seeing the end to the real estate doldrums!
