The Sea Ranch

Gualala

    The "village" of Gualala was once a thriving mill town and is now a vibrant commerical center with accommodations, resturants, galleries and quaint shops. Gualala os located on the Southern Mendocino Coast, an expanse of rugged coastline, where majestic redwoods, sunny open hillsides and dramatic ocean vistas enliven the senses.

Irish Beach

    Irish Beach is a charming coastal community which is just a few miles North of Mancehster. The community has about 250 home sites. Over the past 30 years about 60% of the sites have had custom homes built but there are still some lots available. The community has private beach access to a 6 mile long sandy beach.

Point Arena

    Point Arena was a bustling lumber and whaling port. Punta Arena, which means "sand port" in Spanish was one of the most active ports on the Mendocino Coast. 1879 records show that 2,300 tons of merchandise were shipped from the wharf. The town looks much the way it did in the early 1900's. Scenic farmland surrounds the city today, a large dairy is just to the North and cows and sheep are seen grazing as one travels along Highway One.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 05/01/2014

It's still time to buy on the coast!!  While many parts of California are seeing shortage of inventories, multiple offers and higher prices, we are still just starting to rise out of the ashes of the economic crisis. Last year we saw record sales but prices were still low, this year we are again seeing record sales and prices are starting to move up, so if you've been waiting to buy, NOW is the time.  In April there were 25 new listings (5 of which immediately went into escrow), 20 new escrows and 13 closed sales.

MONTHLY MARKET UPDATE 04/01/2014

April has come to the coast, the hills and fields are that vibrant color of green and the landscape is dotted with spring lambs.  Abalone season has opened for the year and we are looking forward to the lazy days of summer! This past month has been a very active one for real estate.  Typical for this time of year, there were 21 new listings on the coast and 5 of those are already in escrow.  The big news is that new escrows jumped to 18 overall!!    Closed sales were up slightly to 6 reflecting a few of the slower times these past few months.
